I swear, Benedict was put in this world to make me cry. It was such an intense moment, so heartbreaking… it was the first thing in my mind when the movie ended, how his world just collapsed at that moment, how unfair it was that he had to sacrifice his own happiness. I think that something like that is more terrible than to sacrifice your life. You see, if Peter were to risk and consequently lose his life, that would be it, he would be gone and done suffering. But in this case he remained alive to see another day, and to experience the painful reality of having to live without the man he loved.
